If you book a Hawaii vacation either on-line or by calling in you need to be aware that various cancellation penalties are imposed by airlines, vacation companies and us. They get bigger the closer you get to the trip. Here are the General conditions for Pleasant and FunHawaii. Each supplier has policies that you need to access on their websites. This may include minors, pregnancies, seniors etc. Please check out the properties before booking. TravelMaker is not responsible for accidents, delays, supplier errors, terrorist or criminal acts, quality of transportation, lodgings or tours and omissions of any kind. By booking on-line or calling us to book you agree that you checked out the cancellation policies and you've checked out the properties and the package and you take full responsibility for its suitability to your budget and/or taste. All disputes will be settled in the state of California

RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS Please contact TravelMaker at 800-684-3260 for information and reservations for Pleasant, Apple Vacations, Hawaii World, Princess Cruise Line.

GENERAL PLEASANT HOLIDAYS RULES Pleasant Internet bookings without protection policy require a deposit of $100 per person at the time of booking to secure reservations, with the exception of Air Only Holidays which require full payment at time of booking. Balance is due 35 days prior to departure. If reservations are made 35 days or less prior to departure, the total price of the Holiday is due at time of booking, regardless of when reservation is made. If any check payments are made after deposit, We only accepts responsibility for a passenger's funds if the check is made out to TravelMaker.

If the final payment deadline is missed a $50 charge may be assessed.

DOCUMENTS Documents will be mailed 21 days prior to departure. Documents cannot be released until full payment has been received. Documents delayed because of late payment may require customer pick-up at the airport or overnight shipment billed to recipient. Bookings that require a prepaid ticket advice are subject to an additional charge.  CHANGES Once a Holiday has been booked, the following change fees will apply:  Changes that affect land only holidays: Days Prior to Departure Fees: 30 or more: $75 per booking, per change 29 - 8: $150 per booking, per change 7 - 0: $150 per booking, per change + 2 nights hotel per island (if hotel affected)  Fee waived if change increases booking price by more than $200, except for any hotel fees or charges.  Changes that affect transpacific air travel: Days Prior to Departure Fees: 30 or more: $75 per booking, per change 29 - 8: $150 per person plus any additional airfare change fees charged by the airline. Charges will vary by fare and airline booked. 7 - 0: 2 nights hotel per island (if hotel affected) +$250 per person for American Trans Air bookings from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO), $500 per person for American Trans Air bookings from Chicago (ORD) and New York (JFK). All other air carriers, $100 per booking plus any additional airfare change fees charged by the airline. Charges will vary by fare and airline booked.  

IMPORTANT: Any change made to a booking for which the price has been guaranteed will result in the booking being repriced to the price in effect at the time the change is made. After commencement of travel, changes in return transportation to the extent permitted by carrier(s)' tariff may be made only through Pleasant's Honolulu office in case of a Pleasant, at a charge of $50 per passenger or through the respective. supplier, such as Hawaii World, Apple Vacations etc at their prevailing change fees.

No changes in air routing can be made after departure. Changes in return which would result in additional monies owed to the carrier(s) due to day-of-week differences, ticket re-issuances, etc., are due and payable directly to the carrier(s) upon check-in at the airport. (See AIR TRANSPORTATION). A change in departure date is treated as a change only if the new departure is booked at the same time the original departure is canceled. In all other cases, cancellation rules apply.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS Once a Holiday has been booked, the following cancellation fees will apply.  Days Prior to Departure Fees: 30 or more: $85 per person 29 - 8: $150 per person plus any additional airfare/cancellation charges as decreed by the airline. Charges will vary by fare and airline booked 7 - 0: 2 nights hotel per island (if hotel affected) + $250 per person air cancellation fee for American Trans Air bookings from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO), $500 per person air cancellation fee for American Trans Air Bookings from Chicago (ORD) and New York (JFK). All other carriers, $100 per person, plus any additional airfare/cancellation charges as decreed by the airline. Charges will vary by fare and airline booked. A $100 per person additional cancellation fee applies for land only holidays.  Once a Holiday has begun, there will be no refunds made for any unused or partially used Holiday features or services including hotel/condominium accommodations and car rentals. All refunds of unused air transportation at all times, are subject to carrier(s)' tariff rules, many of which do not allow refunds. In all cases, cancellation fees will apply and are non-refundable for any reason, including illness or other emergencies. Pleasant reserves the right to cancel any Holiday prior to departure for any reason, including insufficient number of participants. Should this happen, refunds will be made without obligation.

HOTEL INFORMATION Extra Values, hotel services and amenities are subject to change without notice and at the discretion of the hotel. Hotel photos are representative only and do not necessarily depict the actual room in which guests will be accommodated.

PLEASANT'S PROTECTION PLAN The Pleasant Protection Plan is an optional item available for your convenience, and if selected, must be purchased by all passengers traveling on the same booking. The plan must be purchased at the time of booking and payment must accompany the deposit. This plan is non-transferable and the cost is non-refundable. The plan does not cover airline fees imposed by air carriers other than American Trans Air, as additional airfare cancellation/change fees or non-refundable fares may be charged by the airline and will vary by fare and carrier booked. Passengers who have purchased the plan will receive a detailed description of the plan, its conditions and exclusions, with their final documents. Copies are also available on request. This plan does cover American Trans Air fees and all of Pleasant's hotel cancellation and change fees as noted in the CHANGES and CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS portions above. The plan does not provide refunds for non-refundable or unused air or limousine transportation, any airline or government imposed fees, or no shows. Once price guaranteed, the plan does not provide coverage for any price increases due to any voluntary change made to the reservation. Any lost, stolen or damaged property is not covered. The plan is not insurance.  The plan cost is $49 per adult, no charge for accompanying children 12 years of age and under. For President's week, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas travel periods, $79 per adult, no charge for accompanying children 12 years of age and under.

AIR TRANSPORTATION For air transportation between the Mainland and Hawaii , Pleasant features scheduled service on American Trans Air, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Trans World Airlines and United Airlines. For land only Holidays, other carriers may be used, if desired. If air transportation is being provided through Pleasant, the airfare is based on the lowest group or individual airfare available to Pleasant at the time of booking on the air carrier(s) used unless a specific fare, such as First Class, is requested. Flights are assigned based on established flight patterns, Pleasant's seat blocks with the airline(s) concerned and available connections. Extension of stay in Hawaii , to the extent permitted by the carrier(s)' tariff, may be made only after arrival, through Pleasant's Honolulu office. All changes are subject to Pleasant's standard change fees as stated under CHANGES. Inter-island transportation, to the extent required by the Holiday selected, will be via Hawaiian Airlines or Aloha Airlines. Flight delays, although unfortunate, can occur and are completely outside the control or responsibility of Pleasant. In the event of a delay, the airline, not Pleasant, determines and provides the compensation, if any, to be provided to passenger(s).

PRICES All prices are per person based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted, and reflect current rates in effect at date of printing this brochure and are subject to change without notice. In the event of an increase, an additional collection will be made to reflect the rates in effect on the date of travel, unless the booking is price guaranteed. Prices shown represent recommended retail prices. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our prices in print and when quoted by telephone, Pleasant reserves the right to make subsequent adjustments if it is discovered that a particular price was shown or quoted incorrectly. Due to the fluctuating cost of aviation fuel, Pleasant reserves the right to impose a "fuel surcharge" to the cost of the Holiday if and when necessary.

PLEASANT'S PRICE GUARANTEE Under deregulation, airfares and prices in general may be increased at any time, without notice. Because of this, Pleasant can guarantee prices only for bookings, which are; (1) With purchase of Pleasant Protection Plan: Under a $100 per person deposit plus cost of PPP, or (2) Without purchase of Pleasant Protection Plan: Paid in full at the time a price increase occurs. Pleasant cannot, and is under no obligation to provide a "grace period" during which, bookings not paid or deposited as noted above, may be paid for the purpose of qualifying for a price guarantee. It is therefore recommended that full payment be made at time of reservation. Airfares are included in guarantee only if air transportation is provided by Pleasant.

HOLIDAY /SEASONAL RESERVATIONS Seasonal price fluctuations in airfares may apply during certain peak and holiday seasons. In addition, some hotels and condominiums have special pricing, cancellation, change, minimum stay and refund policies for these travel periods.

 RENTAL CARS Each car day included in the Holiday consists of a 24-hour period. No refund will be made on cars used for less than a 24-hour period. Occasionally, because of airline scheduling, departure from Hawaii may be late in the day, causing the car to be returned late if kept until departure. Additional charges incurred as a result of this, or for any other reason, must be paid by you directly to car company. Also, car rentals do not include gas, collision damage waiver, personal accident insurance, personal effects protection, car seats, additional driver charges or extensions of rental beyond the period included. NOTE: Minimum age for rental is 18. Drivers ages 18-24 must pay an additional surcharge directly to car rental company at time of pickup.

PRICE INCLUDES Price includes all items listed in this brochure under "Holiday Includes", including charges for planning and operating the Holiday . Prices shown are based on use of existing bedding in room. Many properties offer additional bedding, such as rollaways or cribs, but may charge a fee for such services. All Holiday prices include Hawaii state hotel taxes and, as applicable, car rental taxes and daily car rental state highway usage tax.

PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE Price does not include expenses and items not mentioned in the brochure or these conditions as being included in the Holiday selected, including but not limited to air transportation, tips for personal services, meals, beverages, parking fees, insurance, telephone calls, resort fees, laundry service, cleaning and other items of a personal nature. Brochure prices do not include airport/airline departure taxes, passenger flight segment tax, and any airport passenger facility charges that may apply. Any airport taxes will be quoted and collected by Pleasant at time of booking reservation.

BAGGAGE Neither Pleasant, nor the selling agent shall be held responsible for loss, damage or delay while baggage is in the custody of airlines. If Pleasant, due to any cause whatsoever, is liable for loss of, or damage to your baggage, the amount of Pleasant's liability will not exceed $100.00 ($500.00 for passengers who have purchased the Pleasant Protection Plan).

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES Any physical disability requiring special attention or treatment must be disclosed to Pleasant when reservations are requested. Passengers requiring special assistance should be accompanied by a responsible adult fully able to assist the passenger. Some of the events and activities available in the islands, which involve transportation by bus, van, sailing or power vessel, may not have facilities for accommodating physically disabled passengers.

RESPONSIBILITY The Holidays advertised in this brochure have been specially arranged by Pleasant. The suppliers providing transportation and sightseeing arrangements and hotel accommodations for the Holidays are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Pleasant, or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. All documentation, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that neither Pleasant nor any of its' subsidiaries, affiliates or representatives shall be liable for any accident, loss, injury or damage to you or to those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond their control, including defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, delays, cancellations or changes in itineraries or schedules, etc. Remember that all travel documents, as well as compliance with agricultural regulations, are your responsibility. The terms under which you agree to take a Holiday cannot be changed or amended except in writing, signed by an authorized officer of Pleasant. Airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time you are not on board their aircraft. The passage contract in use by the airline, when issued, constitutes the sole agreement between you and the airline. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the Holiday at any time prior to departure or during the course of the Holiday . In the unlikely event that the services or accommodations are not available as stated, due to reasons beyond Pleasant's control, every effort will be made to provide services or accommodations of equal standard and quality, for your safety, convenience and enjoyment.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY By booking one of these Holidays you acknowledge that in all events Pleasant and/or TravelMaker, Travelmaker.com, PowerBusiness Associates Inc. or any subsidiaries or sister companies shall not be liable for any consequential damages and that the sole extent of our liability shall never exceed the amount actually paid by you to Pleasant or above named companies.

TravelMaker is not responsible for accidents, delays, supplier errors, terrorist or criminal acts, quality of transportation, lodgings or tours and omissions of any kind. By booking on-line or calling us to book you agree that you checked out the cancellation policies and you've checked out the properties and the package and you take full responsibility for its suitability to your budget and/or taste. Quote prices can change until payment is made due to availability. All fare information and booking capabilities are provided "as is". There are no warranties of suitability for a particular purpose. All disputes will be settled in Orange County , the State of California

ARBITRATION Any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to, any Holidays advertised in this brochure/web site shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted at American Arbitration Association offices closest to Orange County . Judgement upon the award rendered by the Arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Customer, TravelMaker and Pleasant understand and agree that, by agreeing to binding arbitration, they are giving up the right to trial on the merits, by either judge or jury, or trial de novo and the right to appeal.

HAWAII WORLD WAIVER

HAWAII WORLD CHANGE AND CANCELLATION WAIVER: Hawaii World offers an optional   Change and Cancellation Waiver, which allows passengers to revise or cancel   their vacation package. The Change and Cancellation Waiver is not insurance   and should not be confused with more comprehensive traveler's insurance   programs your travel agent can sell to you. The Change and Cancellation   Waiver must be purchased at the time of deposit and is non-refundable in   part or in whole. All changes must be made through Hawaii World or all   penalties will apply.

COVERAGE: Waives change fee of $25 per person before documents are issued,   $75 per person after documents are issued. Also waives cancellation fee of   $75 per person before documents are issued, $150 per person after documents   are issued, and hotel and airline penalties up to time of scheduled departure.   Covers changes to names, dates, flights and accommodations for duration of   trip. Reimburses re-ticketing fee on early return. Provides full refund of   unused land services. Covers hotels' early check-out penalties. Waives $150   charge on refunds after departure. Guarantees price of entire package,   including airfare increases, upon deposit.

EXCLUSIONS: No-shows, hotel penalties for last minute reservations when   penalties are already in place, Luxury Homes at The Kapalua Villas, price   increases due to change in hotel package minimum stay requirements, directly   paid vendor fees, golf and Activity World. Airline schedule changes, price   increase from voluntary changes or schedule change, lost ticket application   fee, partial refund of unused ticket, published air name change once ticket   is issued, routing and/or class of service change or name change once travel   has begun, published air non refundable tickets. No refund of airline re-   ticketing fee when returning on earlier flight the same day or extended stay.   Fly drive waiver limited to one revision once payment has been received.

HAWAII WORLD FEES WITHOUT CHANGE AND CANCELLATION WAIVER: Before documents   are issued: Change fee - $25 per person, cancel fee - $75 per person. After   documents are issued: Change fee - $75 per person, cancel fee - $150 per   person. Hotel and airline penalties also apply.     Hotels reserve the right to add or change resort or parking fees. Fees are   paid directly.     Hotel, car or airline special requests are not guaranteed.     Car is prepaid including state taxes, vehicle license fee, and Highway Usage   Charge for the number of 24 hour days shown except with hotel car packages.   Then taxes are paid directly. Additional charges paid directly may include   overtime, additional driver (must be 25 years or older), refueling, optional   waiver or insurance, child safety seat, underage driver age 21 to 24, and   drop charge. Driver must be 21 or older with valid driver's license and   major credit card or cash deposit.     Hawaii World will assign seats when available. If you are a Premier Member,   please call your travel agent with your number. If Hawaii World has noted   your itinerary with airport check in, we recommend arriving at the airport   at least 2 hours prior to your departure. All airlines reserve the right   to reassign seats. Flight numbers and times are subject to change. Once   travel has begun, routing and/or class of service changes or name changes   are not permitted. Hawaii World recommends that you reconfirm flight times   24 hours before departure. When schedule changes occur, the best flight   will be assigned and a copy faxed to your travel agent for your information.   Frequent flyer miles can be accrued with these flights.     All forms of credit must be refunded in the manner they are received.
